the coffee shop

i had a client meeting cancel at the last minute today, so i made a u-turn and headed over to The Coffee Shop with my daughter.
a vanilla milk for her, and a cappuccino for me.
we sat out by the rose garden and talked about flowers,

and birds,

and the importance of playing in dirt

and so, so many other very important things.

i am thankful for the change of plans we had today.
i love that place.

and my girl.

i hope you find something in your day today to be thankful for. even the “little” things are worth a pause.

my kids remind me of that almost every day.
