i just got a new camera lens in the mail today, and woah, baby am I ever loving it!
It’s a Nikon 50mm f/1.8D AF Nikkor Lens. Translated: means better low light pics (without the dreaded flash!) and portraits and action shots.
Thank you, Mr. President!
Love,
Chanelle

Yay Nikon! Yay money in the mail! Boooo flash!
ohh i’m so jealous! Mr. president’s money had to go other places than nikon this year for us
seriously though I want that lens to be my next purchase… where did you get it from?
stephanie – i second that!
tara -i got it from amazon.com how awesome is that??!! i just put up a link in my post above so you can get to it.
Lucky!!!! I’m still stuck with PowerShot that just does not want take good pictures of my meals no matter what I do!
That is my favorite lens, well sorta, my other favorite is the 85mm 1.8. Of course mine are Canon, but they seem to make very equivalent lenses.
Whoa! Lucky gal, that is one hot lens!
boy – try shooting in natural light (never, NEVER flash!) and a tripod. it’ll make a world of difference! i started this blog with a kodak easy share.
michelle – yeah, isn’t it great! i am having so much fun with it.
shelley – thanks!
i am very blessed to be the proud owner of such hotness.
A few years ago I had a Leica 50mm f. 1.0. I thook this lens an a trip to Europe. It simply oppened up another world of photography not only available light but limited depth of field; it’s limited dept of field allowing for selective focus that spurs creativity. I use a Pentax K10 digital now and the 50mm becomes a 75mm thus rendering it useless for everyday shooting.
