Wow, I knew citrus was awesome, but who knew there were 27 household uses for the little things (other than stuffing them in my mouth, I mean)?

Do you have any other favourite uses for this citrus gold?

Yes, I do have another use. Courtesy of my friend Donna. I take oranges and slice them, with skin on, along with any other almost ready to throw in the trash fruit (ie., apples, pomegranate, cranberries, etc.) and toss them into a saucepan to simmer on the stove. Add cinnamon sticks, cloves, nutmeg, vanilla, anything yummy like that and, Wa~la! You will have the best smelling house on the block.
P.S. Thanks for the help today. Turns out I put a bit of pressure on my sciatic nerve while doing yard work ~ translation: I’m old!
Mine is to keep cut fruits/veggies/herbs from browning. You can also use a vitamin C tablet dissolved in water to do the same job without the lemon-y taste, but honestly, why would you want to do that?
P.S.S. Sorry, I left out an important ingredient ~ Water! Add the fruit to “water” in the saucepan. I’m sure ya already knew that! Tee, hee.
Don’t forget that lemon juice in water cleans your liver!!! Pictures are just beautiful Chanelle
wow! I feel jealous
I use lemon a lot for my food instead of vinegar. Do you like lemon bars/ lemon tart? I baked them and it was really good. I love lemon sorbet, lemon juice, too…
